Ithaca Tracking Club is an opportunity to learn about tracks in a relaxed, informal atmosphere and is open to participants at all levels of experience. We meet on weekends at irregular intervals. Outings generally last 2-3 hours and are scheduled year-round. The locations vary depending on the season, and information on meeting time and location for each outing is sent out by email a few weeks in advance.
Cayuga Keeping Track is the local Keeping Track Monitoring Program, coordinated by Linda Spielman. Members of our group have gone through the Keeping Track training with Susan Morse both in our region and at her headquarters in Vermont. We visit predetermined locations four times a year and document evidence of certain species, including bear, bobcat, fisher, otter, and mink. Anyone
interested in learning what we do is welcome to come along.
